CAG Flyer, Air Quality document

Thank you to all who participated

Charlotte Air Awareness, in partnership with Charlotte Area Transit (CATS) and Sustain Charlotte, hosted a 5 week-long trip reduction campaign. The goal of this campaign was to reduce air pollution by avoiding drive alone trips, whether it was a trip to commute to work or one to the store – all trips were eligible. Participants could avoid a drive-alone trip in many ways, such as carpooling, vanpooling, avoiding driving at lunch, riding public transit, biking, walking and teleworking.

This year we had a total of 1,490 entries and 285 individual participants. Below are the number of trips avoided per trip reduction activity, all adding up to 2,200 trips.

○ 2 Vanpooled
○27 Rode an E-scooter
○90 Rode a Bike/E-Bike
○192 Rode Transit
○215 Carpooled
○220 Teleworked
○394 Walked
○1060 Packed their Lunch
