Mecklenburg County Air Quality conducts and reviews air quality dispersion modeling in support of permit applications. Facilities must demonstrate that their activities will not cause an exceedance of Federal, State or Local air quality standards.

Model Data
Terrain elevations for receptors should be processed from USGS National Elevation Dataset (NED) data by the AERMAP program. The NED data can currently be retrieved from the Multi-Resolution Land Use Characteristics Consortium website.
