Charlotte Area Air Awareness

Charlotte Air Awareness (CAA) partners with the community to improve local air quality. CAA is part of the NC Air Awareness program administered by the NC Department of Environmental Quality, Division of Air Quality. The program provides air quality outreach and education to residents, businesses and schools throughout the entire Charlotte metro area, including Cabarrus, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, Rowan, Union, and York (SC) Counties. Victoria O'Keefe and Lilliana Sandoval are your Charlotte Air Awareness Coordinators.

 

Become an Air Quality Ambassador

Air Quality Ambassadors is a partnership of community leaders, ineterested individuals and organizations, that share a common concern for local air quality. Gain access to:

  • An Air Awareness Coordinator that can provide personal guidance for launching successful air quality improvement campaigns, event planning, educational content, and giveaways

  • Resources to educate employees about local air quality

  • Turn-key programs and AQ improvement initiatives.

Members often supplement their existing Environmental Sustainability programs with Air Awareness activities, creating opportunities to expand their reach to employees as well as the community at large.
